Notes: This is the sequel to The Other Side of Darkness, which explains how everybody got to the positions that they find themselves in at the beginning of this story. There are several references to previous events so I recommend that you read Darkness first. The OCs are all mine with the exception of Mme Duvallon who has popped in from Private Lives by Noel Coward and is dedicated to Clare and Anne.
